@Emka - The first item under OPTIONS look like you can set the utility to delete the jpgs when you exit the program. I have never been very sure the program actually does what it says, so I simply use the second item in OPTIONS to check and delete as necessary. Periodically I use the jpg instead the pdf so I actually find this useful. Bottom line is that I wish the author would clean all this up a bit more, but I find the utility so useful (use it every day almost) that I am prepared to work around the idiosyncrasies.

@MIKLO & _philippe: It now seems possible to select a folder for temporary files, so you can change the default location in AppData to the app's folder for example. |
WinMerge is a tabbed, visual file differencing and merging tool. It's primary use is determining changes between two text files, but includes tools for folder, image, and 3-way comparison. It comes with a built-in editor with syntax highlighting, line numbers, word-wrap, synchronized scrolling, and handles a variety of file formats.
An unofficial plugin (xdocdiff) is available to enable comparison functions for the text of Word, Excel, PDF, LibreOffice, RTF, and other file formats.
WinMerge Portable is a portable version of WinMerge from PortableApps. Alternatively, an outdated X-WinMerge is also available.

64bit version from https://sourceforge.net/projects/winmerge/files/alpha/2.15.2/ can be used to replace 32 bit folder in PortableApps.com version. So far no problems with it. Renamed original file, just in case.

PAFUser: For a better experience, use WinMerge 2011 Portable. WinMerge 2011 is a continuation fork of WinMerge that is regularly updated. Our portable package includes the 32-bit and 64-bit versions and switches between them. |

I've been using the FS Image viewer for some time and it is a very useful app that I use all the time, I hope to get the same usefulness from this new program. Thanks for the hard work.

@ MILKO: It was entered to the TPFC-database in January, 2007 ... so I won't call it a "new" program. |
qimgv is a customizable image viewer with optional video support. It supports basic image editing such as crop, rotate and resize, as well as copy / move operations of images to different folders. Supports modern image formats JPEG, GIF, PNG, APNG, RAW, MP4, WEBM, etc.
The program aims for an uncluttered user interface, i.e. you see UI elements only when you need them. There is a pull-down panel with thumbnails, as well as folder view (accessible by pressing Enter). You can also bring up a context menu by right-clicking on an image.
Cross-platform with clients available for Linux and written in Qt.
