Everything is a powerful search tool that locates files and folders by file name instantly, and includes an FTP and Web server interface. It also can search files by their contents. Unlike Windows search, Everything initially displays all files and folders on your computer. You simply type in part of the desired file name to limit what files and folders are displayed instantly. The more you type, the more specific the list becomes.

Note that the instant-search capability only works on NTFS/ReFS-formatted drives and only uses file and folder names in a file index. The program can separately catalog non-NTFS/ReFS and network servers for searching on a schedule.

XAMPP is an integrated server package that contains many different tools such as mail, Web, FTP and WebDAV. Named for Apache + MariaDB + PHP + Perl, the program includes a multiple open software packages combined to power the various services including FileZilla, JSP Java, OpenSSL, and more. Tomcat and Perl can be added using add-ons available from the website.

Also available for OSX and Linux.

Note: XAMPP has many add-on capabilities, including a portable MediaWiki or Wordpress installation.

The program interface includes an easy-to-use tabbed window, drag-and-drop capability, bookmarks, remote and recursive file search, remote file editing and a managable upload/download queue. Internally, it supports connection throttling, keepalive, timeout detection, IPv6, SOCKS 4/5 and HTTP 1.1 proxy etc.

Alternatively, Filezilla Portable is pre-configured as portable and automatically adjusts paths, as well as X-Filezilla.

Cross-platform with clients available for Mac and Linux. For Windows XP, an older and unsupported version is available.

PicPick is a versatile all-in-one tool for images on the desktop. Includes a powerful screen capture tool, editor, color picker and palette, pixel ruler, protractor, crosshair, whiteboard and more. Can upload images automatically to FTP, Facebook, Twitter, default e-mail program, or send to installed Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, or PowerPoint).

Alternatively, PicPick Portable is stealth and automatically adjusts paths.

NexusFile is a dual-pane, tabbed, skinnable file manager. Features include advanced rename tools, built-in ZIP/ARJ/RAR/ACE archive support, FTP client, file join/split, folder list export, folder comparison, and shortcut keys

The interface uses different colors for files to distinguish file types (customizable).

Bitvise SSH Client (formerly Tunnelier) is a fast, secure FTP and terminal client with a variety of "tunnel" options to create secure connections, similar to a VPN. BitComet is a manager for web, FTP and BitTorrent downloads supporting simultaneous connections, file queue, selected torrent package contents, fast-resume, chatting, disk cache, speed limits, port mapping, proxy, IP filter etc.

The download includes both 32 and 64-bit versions.

Note: Many years ago, BitComet attracted a lot of critics due to its non-compliance with several standards. While still developed in China, most issues have since been resolved.

The tool connects to a many online services such as FTP, SFTP, SMB, HTTP, Amazon S3, Bonjour, HDFS (Hadoop), NFS and more. File copying includes transfer verification, rate of speed controls and transfer visualization. It can open and create a variety of archive types as well as view and modify ZIP files without recompression. The program can batch rename, change permissions/date and hash files or folders with a variety of algorithms.

IE PassView reveals the passwords stored by Internet Explorer versions 4 through 11 as well as Microsoft Edge Browser. IE PassView utility is able to recover/delete HTTP, FTP and AutoComplete-type passwords, and displays web address, storage location, and the user name/password pair.

CloudShot is a screen-capture program with edition and upload options. The program can capture individual screen selections or a short (60 second max) animated GIF. For images, you can crop, add arrows, boxes, notes etc. and then saved to a local or remote destination.

Upload services supported include FTP, Imgur, Dropbox, OneDrive or GoogleDrive.
