ExperienceIndexOK is a small program to read and show your Windows Experience Index or to start a new calculation of the performance index. This index "measures the capability of your computer's hardware and software configuration" (###0###source###1###).

The program is primarily written for Windows 8.1 and 10 because the performance index is still calculated but no longer displayed in the System.

Experience Index is visually inspired by the representation on Windows 7.

Clibor is a feature-rich, customisable, and easy-to-use clipboard manager. It supports "set phrases" (possible to sort into groups and add memos) and changing of the format of the content within the clipboard history (regular expression of find and replace text, aligning similar pattern etc). The program offers different copy/paste modes (FIFO/LIFO), shortcut keys, incremental search, encryption (using a startup password), selection of multiple items, backup/restore and more.

The program can store up to 10,000 clipboard items.

paint.net is an image and photo editing software with support for layers, unlimited undo, image effects and a tabbed thumbnail interface. The program includes a variety of paint bushes and selection tools as well as image filters such as sharpening, red-eye removal, distortion, noise etc.

The program supports ###0###plugins###1### and will automatically start in 64-bit within an operating system that supports it.

RIOT (###0###R###1###adical ###0###I###1###mage ###0###O###1###ptimization ###0###T###1###ool) presents a before-and-after image compression view that allows you to reduce file size of an image into JPG, PNG, or GIF format. Includes optional metadata removal, batch operations, compression to a target file size, transparency options, and other common editing functions (flip, rotate, zoom, pan). Notable versus similar software in the ability to gradually reduce the available colors one-by-one (7, 8, 9, 10...), not just milestones of 16, 32, 64 etc.

The program is also available as a plugin for XnView, GIMP, or Irfanview (see website).

Functional in Linux using ###8###Wine###9###. Many of the official entries here on PortableFreeware have used RIOT for compression. Note that the installer version of this program is considered adware.

NetworkUsageView extracts and displays network usage information, which includes name and description of the service or application, name and SID of the user, network adapter and total number of bytes sent/received by the specified service/application.

The program is similar to ###2###Google Chrome###1### and uses the same code base, but takes up less space and resources usage, has fewer tie-ins with Google, and generally better privacy. Unlike Google Chrome, it is missing proprietary audio and video codecs and there's no automatic update system.

Chromium is cross-platform with clients available for Mac, Linux, and ChromiumOS. X-Chromium is a wrapper program. Earlier versions are available for Win XP to 8.1, and 32-bit Win 10.

###0###Stellarium###1### is a planetarium for your computer. It shows a realistic sky in 3D like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars, or a telescope, with realistic atmosphere, sunrise and sunset. It features over 120,000 stars from the Hipparcos catalog with associated information.

Stellarium Portable is a portable version of the program. The 0.22.x 32-bit version is also included for use on Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 32-bit. Version 0.13.3 is available for Windows XP. Alternatively, ###2###X-Stellarium###1### is also available.

MultiPar helps protect backups and transfers with error detection and recovery. The program looks at information from any number of files and folders to function as insurance against data loss. The program generates companion "PAR" files that are built from a percentage of the originals, using more space for greater protection (e.g. 10% of the original for already safe methods, 50% for frequent failures).

The program has a wide variety of customizations including format, processor usage, and various other tools available to the standard ###0###PAR format###1###. For backups, it can also choose PAR size by available free space (e.g. saving a 3 gig file to a 4.7 gig DVD will mean generating a 1.7 gig PAR file).

Functional in Linux/Mac via WINE. The program supports multi-threading, multiple processors, can recurse subfolders, and functions with standard formats including PAR, PAR2, and (experimental) PAR3 formats.

MultiClipBoardSlots allows you to extend the Clipboard for up to 10 clipboard storage slots to easily insert text, images and other objects between the programs via freely selectable Windows shortcut. The program doesn't lose the contents of the Clipboard Slots because the default Clipboard will be overwritten by other programs.

The keyboard shortcuts for the Clipboard Memory Slots are predefined, but always can be individually adjusted.

Zim is desktop Wiki system that lets you maintain a collection of wiki pages. Each page can contain links to other pages, simple formatting and images. Pages are stored in a folder structure, like in an outliner, and can have attachments. Creating a new page is as easy as linking to a nonexistent page. All data is stored in plain text files with wiki formatting. Various plugins provide additional functionality, like a task list manager, an equation editor, a tray icon, and support for version control.

Currently, Zim is only supported on 64-bit version of Windows 10. 32-bit Windows is not supported.

NetworkLatencyView listens to network connections on your system and checks for connection response time or "latency" (often called lag when very high). The program can view up to 10 addresses, their values and the average of all the connections. This is very similar to the results from pinging.

Works with TCP protocol connections and allows you to easily export the latency information to text/csv/tab-delimited/html/xml file, or copy the information to the clipboard and then paste it to Excel or other application.

Mem Reduct is a lightweight, real-time memory management application to monitor and clean system memory on your computer. The program uses undocumented internal system features (in the Native API) to clear system cache (system working set, working set, standby page lists, modified page lists) with variable result ~10-50%.

A 64-bit version is available within the archive.

DocFetcher indexes your computer, making the contents of a wide variety of files instantly searchable. Selecting a search result shows a preview of the file with text highlighted and without formatting. You can filter results by location, file type, minimum and/or maximum filesize and more. The program can index Microsoft Office, OpenOffice/LibreOffice, PDF, RTF, EPUB, HTML and more formats from drives, external volumes, archive files and Outlook .PST files (some .OST files also work).

The program supports complex searches via wildcards, proximity, ranges, "fuzzy" terms, and more using ###0###Lucene search###1###. You can also do standard file name search via "filename:###2###searchterm###3###." The program is cross-platform and functional on OS X and Linux, as well as 64-bit Windows.

PDFsam Basic lets you split, merge, and extract pages, as well as rotate and mix PDF files. Input files can be merged completely or partially, and a page selection can be set in the form of comma-separated page intervals (eg. 1-10, 14, 25-), letting you specify what pages you want to merge.

Generated PDFs can include a table of contents at the start of the file. A list of clickable entries will let you easily navigate through the merged files.

Versions for Mac and Linux also available, as well as a commercial version with additional features.

EdgeCookiesView displays the cookies stored by Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge Web browser, including newer versions of Edge (starting from Fall Creators Update 1709 of Windows 10). It also allows you to select one or more cookies and then export them to tab-delimited/csv/html file, or to a file in ###0###cookies.txt###1### format. You can read the cookies from the current running system or from the ###0###WebCacheV01.dat###1### database on external hard drive.

JumpListsView displays the information stored by the 'Jump Lists' feature available when you right-click on something in the task bar in Windows 7 - 10. For every record found, data available includes the filename that the user opened, the date/time, the ID of the application, the size/time/attributes of the file on the time that the file was opened etc.

You can also export the Jump Lists records to csv/tab-delimited/xml/html file.

WinToFlash easily transfers your Windows XP - 10 setup CD, DVD, or ISO image to a USB device. Although possible via other means, this solves the problem of annoying command-line arguments when reinstalling Windows on a device without an optical drive.

Additionally, as some flash devices have faster read times than optical drives, this can result in a faster Windows setup.

Virtual CDRom Control Panel enables you to mount ISO disk images as virtual CD-ROM drives.
Must be run "As Administrator" (in Windows 10).

ExcelPass easily adds password protection to Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF and ZIP files. The program supports drag-and-drop and can quickly encode one or more files to use standard security, meaning it can be opened by compatible viewers and editors, including Microsoft Office, LibreOffice, Adobe Acrobat, and many more. Both read and write protection are available (excluding ZIP files, which do not support write restrictions).

The program can also disable security via the same interface (click the unlock button). Functional in 64-bit.
