While this app does many things I find Advanced Renamer is more than enough for my needs and much easier to use and learn, I'm just sayin.

It's great except it does not support regular expression (regex) that contains lookbehind.

I've been using this frequently as a replacement for the original Universal Extractor and it's so far saved me a lot of time and energy.

The download found on the github site is currently missing an .exe (or any other executable) file.

I'm guessing you downloaded the source code zip file. If you click on the download link and go to the bottom of RC2 area, just above 2.0.0 RC1 you'll see "Assets", click on that and then the top download "UniExtractRC2.zip".

TXTcollector v2.0.2 Private

kwhipp on 20 Feb 2019
  • 140KB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 27 May 2011
  • Suggested by kwhipp

TXTcollector grabs all .txt files from a directory of your choice and combines them into a new (larger) text file. This can come in handy: I use TXTcollector myself to grab a CD full of readme's to enable me to read them all in one go. At work I use it to combine daily and weekly reports and to combine server backup logs. Some users find this application perfect for combining their network log files.

System requirements: WinAll
Writes settings to: None

How to extract:
  1. Download the installer and extract the files with Universal Extractor to a temporary folder.
  2. Move textcollector.exe to a folder of your choice.
  3. Launch textcollector.exe.
