Seems like this doesn't work any more in Windows 10. Although apps portablised using it in previous versions of Windows still seem to work OK.

I've been meaning to try this just so I can emulate the AeroSnap feature from Windows 7 on Windows XP.

shnbwmn on 2016-01-08 00:11

This program is amazing. It's the only one I've found so far that actually let's you define a GRID as opposed to merely snapping windows to borders or resizing windows in increments.

freakazoid on 2016-05-11 04:27

So I finally had a chance to test this app.

It takes a tiny bit of effort to learn how to set up grids, but once you have them set up, GridMove really sings. Memory usage is around 2.6 MB RAM.

I'm going to use this in place of Sizer.

md5hash already works that way. The INI will be created on first run if it does not exist.

Folderico v3.7.2

webfork on 16 Jan 2019
  • 4MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 4 Jan 2007
  • Suggested by crownixx

Folderico allows you to change the default icon of any folder. It performs this feat by creating a desktop.ini file in the chosen folder that points to the desired icon (also automatically created) so that Windows Explorer will render the folder icon differently. Folderico does not need to be running for the new folder icon to be displayed, and the changes are sticky even when the hard disk or memory stick is plugged into another machine.

Runs on: Win2K / WinXP
Writes settings to: Application folder
Stealth: ? Yes
Unicode support: No
License: Freeware
How to extract:
  1. Download the zipped installer (XP version), unzip, then extract using Universal Extractor to a folder of your choice
  2. Delete $PLUGINSDIR and [NSIS].nsi
  3. Create an empty file folderico.ini.
  4. Launch Folderico.exe
