It's a pity Vibe Streamer has been discontinued. The developer open-sourced it- , but its very unlikely that someone will take over the project. For me Vibe Streamer has two major flaws- it doesn't support Unicode and it can stream only lossy MP3s.

Thanks, download link corrected. :)

The instructions no longer seem valid (there is no $_OUTDIR directory for example) and the download link is is now

Though the version number seems to match. Strange.

Just FYI, this can ONLY play MP3s correctly if encoded at 44khz. ALL of my MP3's are encoded at 48khz so that makes this program play them all slowly and deeper than normal when heard. From what I understand, it is a limitation of Flash and not the server itself.

@indyram have a look on here

i had to set mine up using port forwarding so i can access it via a computer outside my home network, its really simple.

firewall modem?!?

indyram 2006-12-15 06:37

Lolo or others who may have done it
My home computer has XP OS
I also have DSL modem
To pull data from the server I need to go through the
two firewalls (XP and DSL modem's)
How do you guys accomplish that?
Disabling XP firewall is easy
How do you disable or open a port in the DSL modem's firewall?
If anyone has done it , please share it with me
TIA (Thanks in Advancd)

Amazing program, now i can hear to my music collection at work.

Besides Universal Extractor, please note that 7zip can also extract them.
