tabbyCalc v1.2

lintalist on 20 Jul 2016

tabbyCalc is a minimalist Windows calculator replacement. You enter the mathematical expressions directly and see the results, instead of having to deal fancy GUI buttons. In addition, you get a running log of the calculations you have performed. It supports built-in functions like tan, cos, abs, factorial etc.

System Requirements: Win95 / Win98 / WinME / WinNT / Win2K / WinXP / Vista
Writes settings to: Application folder
Stealth: ? Yes
License: Freeware
How to extract: Download the no-install ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch tabbyCalc.exe.

I've been looking for a calculator like this that shows your past calculations and lets you continue off them. Kinda reminds me of the calculator in Ubuntu Linux, which I like. very clean interface everything is accessed via right click which is nice. My only complaint is that I wish thier was a keyboard shortcut to clear the display as going to the mouse slows it down some, but that is minor to an otherwise great simple calculator

Thanks ralph, I'll make sure to add that shortcut (and maybe a couple of others!) for v1.2. :)

Absolutly fantastic!

Very easy and intuative. Very very usable. Just been added to my fav's.

Some requests:
Please add more functions: arc sin/cos etc. Also, a base converter would be great. Oh, yeah, some constants like pi and e.

With negative numbers don’t work (ex abs(-20), -2+3 etc)

Thanks Erez - arcsin/cos are already implemented, no? Multi-parameter functions would be the next thing I tackle with the program. Once it can do that, it opens a lot of doors as far as what functions I could implement.

Bolka - thanks for the heads up on this. I just updated the downloads on my website with this and 1 or 2 other smaller bugs fixed. (8/21/06)

pi doesn't seem to be in there?

This is the best possible calculator for me! Sadly, the website and download link seems to be down. :(

Hi, I am the maker of tabbyCalc. I know it's been a long time, and I am sorry the website went down etc, but stuff happens! Anyway, till this day I still use tabbyCalc for myself, so here's some direct download links on one of my servers to the final versions:

tabbyCalc 1.2 (final version of 1.x)
tabbyCalc 2.0 Public Beta (final version)
