JPEGCrops allows batch cropping of JPEG images with fixed aspect ratio. Its operation is "lossless", meaning the output image will not suffer recompression degradation in quality.

It's still beta, but the only problem I found is that it freezes if you (mistakenly) load a non-JPEG image.

Apparently, it was updated to 0.7.5 beta, then the website disappeared. You can get the most recent version from:

Quite a nice an useful piece of software.
Drawback is, it crashes if about 200 images are opened simultanously...
