It writes a diskcache

kAlug 2011-11-24 08:02

@rokth: To where? It should write it to your profile directory unless you specify otherwise.

In the documentation, there is talk of a settings manager that allows you to configure Chromium Portable's settings:

Anyone know how to do this?

NickR 2011-12-18 12:16

use an old version - if that suits?

Change log 2011-10-19
The Settings Manager has been removed of the main package;
it will be available together with other tools soon.

freakazoid 2011-12-18 20:01

@nickr - Thanks! I'll just wait until it's back in the package then.

Read my post here to manually configure hidden settings in Chromium (like setting Incognito mode without a command-line switch):

Anyone using the latest version of Chromium Portable notice that on startup, your floppy disk drive gets scanned?

MnX 2012-10-15 19:50

@fredazoid ~ I just happen to have a machine with a 3.5 floppy still in use. Yes, the latest Chromium portable lights up on mine as well. Just for comparison, I tried the latest Iron portable - no reaction from the floppy.

Chromium Portable bundles both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, which is why the filesize is so high.

webfork 2015-03-21 00:39

freakazoid: yeah the WPP is radically smaller so I'm guessing it's just the 32bit version.  Website doesn't indicate that.

I started to notice problems in Chromium 42 with Flash and found out that Chromium is deprecating NPAPI plugin support. This means that Flash (and other NPAPI plugins) will not work properly unless you use the PPAPI versions. For Flash, you can use PepperFlash.

Link in description points to '', which is a 404.

SYSTEM 2016-02-14 09:44

@hamasaki: Thanks, fixed.

hamasaki 2016-11-01 08:48

Sourceforge is useless at the moment, nothing is downloading. It`s either coming back to the product page or showing a 500. :(

hamasaki 2016-11-01 13:52

Exactly, that link is a 500 oops something went wrong page too.

joby_toss 2016-11-01 15:46

I have no problem downloading the app. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies.

MnX 2016-11-02 15:21

The current download link (below title) links to a patch (24.0.1284.2.7z) and not the paf.exe

The direct dl link I found is:

hamasaki 2016-11-02 15:54

Clearing cache / cookies makes no difference. Tried in several browsers, same result. No worries, I`m sure it will fix itself soon.
