BIOS Beep Codes Viewer v1.0.3.1036 Updated

billon on 4 Aug 2020
  • 733KB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 15 Jun 2015
  • Suggested by guinness

The computer POST (Power On Self Test) tests the computer, insuring that it meets the necessary system requirements and that all hardware is working properly before starting the remainder of the boot process. If the computer passes the POST, the computer will have a single beep (with some computer BIOS manufacturers it may beep twice) as the computer starts and it will continue to start normally. However, if the computer fails the POST, the computer will either not beep at all or will generate a beep code, which tells the user the source of the problem. This little utility will help you to lookup these beep codes and figure out what they represent.

All the foreground and background colors are standard. Take a look at my screenshot and you will see. Maybe something wrong with your display.

as it seems to be the case with most rizonesoft apps: can't find it on their hp anymore

juverax on 2020-08-04 19:46

The link to the author's web page is broken.
Actually it seems that rizonesoft no longer advertises this software.
The download link is broken.

Softpedia has two pages for this app:

https://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/BIOS-Beep-Codes.shtml
https://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/Beep-Codes-Viewer.shtml

Both pages have a working download link.

Yes, it's portable, but it's only the classic 32-bit version. Nice find and let's hope they'll let the link up once they see it getting many hits.

hamasaki on 2020-05-03 20:56

{userappdata}\BearWare.dk folder doesn't exist, the files are in the root of the extraction with a .default extension. They just need renaming. So, info here out of date.

hamasaki on 2020-05-03 21:01

Sorry, forgot to say, in the {app} folder, not the root.

Also, here is the link for the compatibility for v5.0.0.3706:

Take Care:)

Happy.Camper2 on 2017-11-28 01:03

Hi PortableFreewarers,
Hope everyone had a nice holiday:)

So, at the authors website, Vista is not listed in requirements=>
https://www.rizonesoft.com/downloads/complete-internet-repair

I downloaded v5.0.0.3758 just for curiosity and the change.txt has Vista listed as compatible.
Sure enough, this version DOES work on Windows Vista.

Guess I'll send a message to the Rizonesoft Team about the incorrect info on their site.

Not keeping things up-to-date surely does waste people's
time and also prevents folks from downloading the product if their OS isn't listed as a requirement.

Long live organized people :)
Take care all!
