Old thread update:
Although I think this project is more than dead, I'll go ahead and post an idea that I held off posting about during all the back and forth about going closed source that happened with this tool.

Idea
A word problems system using language that most kids wouldn't even try to break open. Something with confusing word-play that would get swapped out each time. The format would be
1. [confusing, technical sounding intro sentence]
2. [define terms and size]
3. [another sentence similar to #1]
4. [ask a simple question about #2]
So for example:
[1] For every four #5842 wires, we can make one catalog B wire and without the catalog B wire, there's no extensions for the #2342 . [2] The #2342 wire is 222 feet long and we've four of those and seven #5842 wires. [3] The catalog B wire doesn't add any length, just lets us put two #2342 wires end-to-end. [4] How many feet long are all the #2342 wires?
Here, the real question is a fairly simple "what is 4 x 222?" (888) but the question relies on kids' inability to dig through complex language. You'd just have to come up with some complex wording, change the wire #s, and come up with some basic math to swap out so that each question is unique.
Anyway, maybe someone will use this idea in the future.
