Was JauntePE the replacement for Portapotty?

And if yes, is there someway one can transfer a portapottied app to JauntePe?

For some reason portapotty doesn't work under Windows 7 ;)

(Edited to change someone to someway - shouldn't type when I'm too tired)

I believe it was the first incarnation of JPE as Redllar began developing it here at TPFC.

Right now I'm calling it PortaPotty, just because that's the first thing that popped into my head when I was playing around with PortaThis, PortaThat, names. So if anyone has any ideas, please pass them along. ReDirector, RegRunner, PortaRunner, ...? I was thinking about using a USB pen drive icon as the app's icon, if that helps.

Oh...I don't think I was alive back then! :)

I know nothing of Portapotty, but if an app worked with it, it should have no problems working with JPE. Will the app's settings be preserved? I have no idea. You should definitely try it!

I also don't know Portapotty configuration style. But i think it is better to fresh build back the JauntePE portable application package rather than having headache thinking on how to transfer the old format to new format.

Just last week, i only test with few apps (Dropbox, 7-zip, Foxit Reader) on Win7. What i did was just running the portable package but not building it. The portable package was initially built on WinXP. Do the apps work? Yes, the portable file system and portable registry are working fine so far.

Care to give a try and share with us your story?

happen to have a download link for this?

Also wouldn't this have same limitations as jaunte since it's built from porta?
If they work differently i wouldn't mind testing it on vista since jaunte has issues with it
