The installer includes a checkbox for a portable installation.
I can't confirm that it doesn't use the filesystem because it won't run in Sandboxie for me for some reason and that's the only way I know how to do that; however, it didn't write anything to the registry under RegFromApp.Install Raven as a Portable Application on your flash/thumb drive. We'll stay out of your Windows registry and let you take your Blogging on the road.
Other than the fact that it tends to hang when pulling data from my set-up-but-basically-unused, 1&1-hosted WordPress blog (which may be 1&1's fault), it seems like an excellent piece of software. The CybernetNews review can tell you more than I could.
