nPOPuk

#1 Post by cmj »

An updated version of the freeware nPOPuk is available, ver. 2.13 at the home site. This version includes the SSL needed for servers such as Gmail. What I enjoy is being able to use the arm version on a SmartPhone, then connect by USB to a PC and run the win32 version accessing the same address book and saveboxes. There is a freeware that allows connecting the SmartPhone to the PC as an external harddrive, not needing ActiveSync, called WM5torage.

To use WebMail in nPOPuk v2.16, easily:

found some nPOPuk INS or "internet setup" files, like SMTP templates to assist in using with: GMail , Hotmail , Yahoo - all worked to send & recieve with the Free mail sites for me as of May 1, 2014, just enter username & Password - links & text follow:

from: http://npopuk.org.uk/2.16/forum.htm

These "internet setup" files are designed for use with nPOPuk, which has the ability to prompt you for some entries -- eg, your username@gmail.com, which gets entered in two places (POP3 tab and SMTP tab) in the program.
