Hi

I contacted François (who manages the "RB2RS" server from his home), there was a power cut in his area last night... the "laptop" is restarted.
do you mean it's a backup server ?
No currently this address points to the ip address of the server "RB2RS" (http://82.66.77.189/). But its use may be necessary with some IPv6 internet providers.

What i mean is the radio-stations database is unoficially maintained and regularly updated by a bunch of dedicated users at http://rb2rs.freemyip.com/
The reason is "RadioSure" and its official database are no longer maintained by its original developers...

You will find all the information on this website  : https://www.radiosure.fr

The station database we use is created and maintained on https://www.radio-browser.info
Then the RadioBrowser stations base is converted to be as compatible as possible with RadioSure and the result is put online on http://rb2rs.freemyip.com/ (currently = http://82.66.77.189/) :)

Hi Giulia

I sent an email to François (RB2RS DB manager)... he's on vacation for a few days with his family.

There might be a problem with the internet box or the switch, he'll check it as soon as possible, probably next week.

Happy Holidays :!: :)

Hi Giulia, sorry for the late reply.
Giulia wrote:there are some free ftp like altervista , could become one of them a mirror ? what do you think?
The problem with a mirror server is that it would imply a change of the server's ip address... and therefore would force users to renew @ip in script and/or redirect in the Windows host files. As long as this is not necessary, it is best to avoid it. (In the absence of a mirror server, I had put a link to a recent backup on the radiosure.fr homepage.)

The server didn't stay offline for very long and it became operational again just after Christmas.. But if it happens again, it's good to know that François can be contacted from the website https://www.radiosure.fr/contact.html (choose "Report an error.." with RB2RS = François | "Technical Support" with website or scripts = Me)

And if ever everything stopped I made a script RB2RS-Database-Converter which should allow other people to keep RadioSure going.

Thank you, and Happy new year !

Philippe ("ppe" )

[Good to know]

There are still many (free) skins hosted on different websites, like :
https://www.reddit.com/r/RADIOSURE/comm ... in_memory/ (Vaste)
https://radiosure.blogspot.com/ (Real One 2)
https://app.box.com/s/749frya6jn (Purple Play)
https://app.box.com/s/1hmeadr2ta (DX-210)
https://www.deviantart.com/search?q=radiosure
https://sites.google.com/site/thebroken ... radio-sure
http://www.aiutamici.com/software?ID=80372 (a compilation of 33 skins)
Image

• And you can create your own ! (XML template)

can I ask you a question about the radiosure equalizer ?
is it encoded in the software or could be added or changed ?
let's say more eq presets ,maybe user made presets?
thank Phili

Hi Giulia,

RadioSure's built-in equalizer is not user-adjustable (beyond the presets), but it's possible to disable it and use the one that is sometimes included with Windows audio drivers.

Otherwise, there are some interesting freeware equalizers : FXSound (https://www.fxsound.com), Equalizer APO (+ Peace Equalizer), ...
