ScanDir

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

ScanDir

ScanDir is a File utility to print or save the contents of one or more directories. Main features:

• Multiple file selection criteria to select a group of files and/or directories;
• Print or save Scan results in plain text and/or .csv format;
• Perform file operations over multiple directories (Purge, Delete, Rename, Copy/Move, Split/Join selected files);
• Navigate through directories in multiple ways (Bookmarks, Goto, Browse, Copy/Paste...);
• Copy one or more filenames (with or without path) to clipboard;

ScanDir is available in 3 different versions: windows installer, portable format, and virtual software archive. Download latest beta version here.

ScanDir Version 1.3 beta is available for testing...
Changes:
+ Taskbar progress indicator;
+ 64-bit windows support;
+ Regular Expression as search argument;
+ Log All commands (default= no);
+ Rename convention to prevent duplicate filenames changed to: filename (n).ext;

Fixes:
+ Check for duplicate filename during rename;

An empty scandir.ini file should be created in program folder, otherwise ScanDir saves data and settings in C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\ScanDir.

Options Tab -> Configuration -> Advanced -> Create / Save .ini file

    + Info tab moved to new Information screen, click (i)-button to display;
    + Directory tree re-written to include system and hidden folders;
    + View and Misc Options combined under Interface;
    + Clear, Load and Save buttons for List and Skip moved to PopUp menu;
    + Start option -l added to start ScanDir with detailed logging;
    + Excl.filenames changed into Filenames (Y/N) and Incl.dir.names changed into Directories (Y/N);
ScanDir 1.3 -- Problems solved
  • + Check for duplicate filename during rename;
    + Display invalid file timestamp as 0000-00-00 00:00;
    + History included in Address bar for Copy/Move dialog;

Note that if you are using the 64bit version, you need to create the empty file as scandir64.ini, not scandir.ini.
