Today I discovered this simple tool that renames files in a snap. It has multiple filter options, wildcard support, and it even has ID3 tag support.
I checked it right away with RegFromApp, and discovered that saves its settings to the registry (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Rename-It!).
It took me about 15 minutes to write a wrapper in AutoIt that saves the settings in a file "portable.reg". The only thing you have to do is place "Wrapper.exe" in the same folder as Rename-It and run the wrapper.
