I've talked a LOT about Electron on this site and elsewhere and I'm definitely sick of it. So while it's early yet to hope a new project will take the crown, there's another lighter and greener option.

Hmm, it uses native webviews on each platform. That allows it to be far more lightweight than Electron, while having a similar programming model.

The idea sounds promising. Let's hope Tauri takes off.
