NegativeScreen - improved desktop inversion

I've seen a few ebook tools use "smart" inversion so that black isn't just white and red turned into blue. They're a lot better about the color changes, improving readability. A program that brings this to the live Windows desktop is a few years old now, but works *really* well to help make light screens darker without a simple opposite color selection. Hope to see more programs like this in the near future.

Note that I wasn't able to get a screenshot of this program in action on my machine. It just seems to ignore ShareX and disables itself when trying to capture.

Usage:
  • Accessibility - lets you see the various limitations of colorblindness
  • Readability - many programs have text you might want to really dive into. This gives the best possible color/light/settings that may not be included with your program of choice. I like it on LibreOffice, which doesn't really have a full "dark" mode.
  • Nostalgia - The "Negative Sepia" option reminds me of early Macintosh computers.
  • Print review - See what your screen, an image, or a document will look like in black and white. A great way to communicate to people that light text on a light background won't work everywhere.
Status: Portable, writes no settings. Edit negativescreen.conf to change configuration.

License: GPL v3

Settings: Very configurable, but only via an included text file. Interestingly a number of people have contributed custom configurations to the author website int he comments section

EDIT: I was able to get ShareX to get a screenshot, but had some problems with my setup that prevented upload. Here's the site's own screenshot:

If you can't for whatever reason use a program like this, there are native color filter tools built into Win10. Negative Screen just has more to choose from and are managed by tray / hotkey.
