MBox Viewer

I recently needed a freeware MBox Viewer for my mailbox archived by gmail.
So far I have tested (not extensively, but just for my needs: message viewing, individual extraction of messages and attachments, message printing)
1) https://sourceforge.net/projects/mbox-viewer/ ( and https://github.com/eneam/mboxviewer )
Currently actively developed: Last Update: 2 on 20-09-25
MBox-Viewer is rather good IMO: Opens instantly a 2 Gigs mbox file, traditional and user-friendly interface, shows attachments,
and allows to download the attachments, can print each message separately
However, it writes to the registry, so ... free but NOT PORTABLE
2) https://forensiksoft.com/view-mbox-files.html
Very good too at displaying esages: though not as fast as the MBox-Viewer from Sourceforge but still decent, shows and allows extraction of attachments,
as for printing a message including the body plus the from/to/subject .... I have not been able to figure out how to do that!
Free and apparently PORTABLE
There are two other MBox viewers that I have tried, but they are not worth my consideration:
1) https://www.mboxviewer.com/ FREE ( basic version), usability is below standards, NOT PORTABLE
2) https://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/ ... ewer.shtml Free, advertised as PORTABLE, extremely slow at opening an mbox file (because after 20 min, it was still trying to open (one message at a time) a 2 Gigs mbox file, I had to cancel the operation and close the tool ... forever!.)
Softpedia has more mbox processors (that I did not try).
As a conclusion the mboxviewer from Sourceforge tops the list by far.
Maybe someone will figure out how to make it portable!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, your findings and your experience with "mbox file" processing.
