Orphans and old Applications

#1 Post by juverax »

Here is my current list of resources for finding old applications and versions.
Occasionally we need these old apps!

https://abandonware.org/ Old VideoGames in French
http://aplusfreeware.com/last_freeware_versions.html
http://www.oldversion.com/
https://www.oldapps.com/ has also broken links!
https://www.oldapps.net/
https://en.softonic.com/downloads/old-versions I don’t know what it is worth!
https://winworldpc.com/home Access through the search box
https://soft.sibnet.ru/soft/ has some applications that are difficult to find
https://archive.org/details/SIMTEL_0692: SIMTEL 1992 archive
http://www.tucows.com/downloads?hp=A1 TUCOWS
https://archive.org/download/cd-ascq DP-Tool – CD-ASC The CD collection is not complete, but still a fantastic resource of freeware/shareware of the 1990s
// https://oldsoftware.com/ Very old applications (16bits), shipped on floppies only?

Dang. I generally don't consider myself the nostalgic type but I actually got emotional seeing some of those CD covers.

If I could go back and do it all over again I'd buy a big CD pressing outfit and distribute stuff like that for free.

Addition to "Orphans and old Applications":
https://www.sac.sk/
Has old (very old) and some recent additions.
It is not limited to old versions of anti-virus apps.
It can be a useful resource if you have to use an old PC.
I used this site in the early 2000x, but I could not remember the URL when I uploaded my first posts (see above in the thread).
