I was barely able to access the website and forums last night, anyone else having trouble with TPFC?

Now it seems to work fine.

There's no politics, no religion, no money schemes here, why would anyone want to hurt TPFC? Maybe the entire webhosting provider was targeted and TPFC was collateral damage?

Triggered this recent story in my mind:

OpenAI's bot crushed this seven-person company's web site 'like a DDoS attack'

I really need to enroll TPFC into Cloudflare. Hopefully it will help. Moved it to top of my todo list!

I witnessed exactly the same before powering down for an offline weekend. So glad everything's back to normal. 8)

BTW, is there even a page like '50x.php' at the site top level?

Yes, that's for when a PHP script refuses to render due to an internal error like SQL error.

I have signed up for the free plan of Cloudflare, and enrolled TPFC into it.

If you encounter any issues related to this change, please lemme know.

Main thing I ran into while using it was the anti-spam measures. You have to install stuff for your platform to properly interpret the headers Cloudflare sends through otherwise it looks like everyone is coming from the same couple dozen IPs and you'll block legit users.

Hi,

Just wanted to let you know that the RSS Feed (https://feeds.feedburner.com/pfc) hasn't worked since the last outage. The last entry posted in the XML is PAKKA - GUI frontend for ZPAQ(franz) a multiversioned archiver v44.2, posted on Sat, 25 Jan 2025 12:24:02 -0800.

Thanks!

Fixed, thanks!

For some reason, feedburner stopped pulling the feed after the update, so I had to login and manually hit "refresh".

Hopefully this will restart the auto-refresh going forward..

Hey Andrew,

Although you submitted a manual refresh, the RSS feed is not not auto-refreshing as you anticipated. The last update to the feed is about the time you did the refresh manually.

I'm really sorry about reporting this again - my thought is that you want to know about it.

Cheers,

Nick
