#1 Post by vevy » Fri Feb 07, 2020 8:23 pm

Consoles:

- ConEmu. (forum topic).
- Cmder. (forum topic).
- Console2. (forum topic).
- ConsoleZ
- Windows Terminal (the new one).

Shell Replacements:

- Yori. (forum topic).
- Greg's DOS Shell

CMD Extensions (e.g. completion, history):

- Clink. (forum topic).
- pycmd

---------------------------

This is a useful guide about the difference between "console", "terminal", and "shell."

I like mintty the most because it's lightweight, but I need tab support and I'm not keyboard-savvy enough to use tmux. So for now, I've stuck with ConEmu because of tabs and because it's ultra customizable.

Windows Terminal is looking good, but there's stll some ways to go before I'm ready to switch to that.
is it stealth? ;)
