FireAlpaca - digital painting / illustration

#1 Post by freakazoid »

FireAlpaca is a Photoshop alternative, written in Qt.

Code: Select all

https://firealpaca.com/
It's not portable, as it writes to %localappdata%. Also important to note is it displayed an ad in a popup on startup!
Other than that, it's not bad. I only played around with it for 10 minutes, but I prefer PixBuilder Studio listed in TPFC instead, as it's smaller and portable.

Uncompressed filesize is around 84MB.
is it stealth? ;)

This one is still in development, now at v2.10.0 https://firealpaca.com/download/#history ... which came out today.

A bit worried because the license specifically prohibits redistribution. So if the site goes offline, you might not be able to find a mirror.

Version also available for Mac.

Thanks. Very useful, after reading up on it. To set the language, all open canvasses must be closed. Otherwise, the language entry appears greyed out.
