Hi, Andrew!
Is it possible to add something like
Spoiler!
{TEXT}
to the message section?
I'd like to have some form of collapsible section, to "hide" some bits of text, like chat ID's or PGP signatures, even if they're public.
Thank's!

  • Regarding the visible marker (bbcode being a standard), it could perhaps be renamed since it really isn't universal -- "Hidden" would be alright, IMHO... :|

Will need more opinion on this. It will be fairly easy to change the text, but I looked around and it seems "Spoiler!" is the standard text used on phpBB boards. Why do we have to be different?

I agree. "Spoiler" is the standard term for hidden text in forums.

I'm aware of that -- but it has no one word translation in my native language, for example...

Really? Certainly "to spoil," derived from food going bad over time has a translation.

  • Yes, plenty of terms for that, most related to rotting. But not for the unwelcome revealing of facts about some narrative... the closest I can think of pertains to veils, and I really don't want to go there. :)

Fair enough.

Another one... When I'm logged in and I hit "View unread posts", I get a page like this:
Image
To get to the unread post in each topic, I have to click on the small orange icon in front of the topic title (the red arrow).
In other forum I'm using frequently, it's enough to hit the topic title anywhere (the green arrow), and I go to the first unread message.
Do you think something similar can be implemented here on TPFC? I'm asking because on high resolutions/small diagonal screens it's a little finicky to hit that small icon...
