The app page says it's not stealth. I found in the comments that, you need a blank "doLocalConf.xml" file to make it stealth. I downloaded the latest version 6.4.8 and they have included that blank file inside the zip. So, I think it's stealth now. Can anybody check and confirm this?

Hello & Thanks ,
I notice that Notepad++ writeup has this comment :
"Alternatively, X-Notepad++ and Notepad++ Portable clean the local folder."

Pls , what does "clean the local folder" mean ?

Thanks

Many wrapper programs function by cleaning up what a program leaves behind. I think the cleaning that this program suggests is the way it throws the config files into a directory separate from the EXE, readme, etc.

IIRC, Notepad++ used to have a hard coded recovery directory at C:\N++RECOV which would be left behind on the local machine if Notepad++ crashed. Not sure if that is still the case.

Once upon a time in movie land, making a movie that was "banned in China" was a great marketing gimmick, not because it was especially controversial but because it was so easy to get kicked out of that market. Now movie studios spend a lot of energy getting into Chinese markets. But with software that same function may have gone back in time. So the next thing you'll see Cabbie's Basic Email Formatter -- Banned in China
