The last
time I checked this (back in 2011) it wasn't portable toolset, but it looks like now there's a
trick for installations with
XAMPP.

I must confess I was looking at this only for the purposes of testing SubVersion and Ghost on my VirtualBox setup. I didn't really look at the site with the portable mind-frame. So good to know that XAMPP is something I can possibly use in the future too.
