I'm also taking a break from submitting stuff for now. It takes a lot of work to get proper info/images/icons and I suck at making descriptions for stuff that lack a decent one lol.

Was looking to use a better PNG animation tool to help further make the case for PNG animation over GIF, but this was a bit of a bust. When I tried to output an image with a 10 level compression, I got an error "External exception EEFFACE". Output of the file picked the largest one as the backdrop for all the others. Clearly needs a help manual to explain the process of usage.

Other wishlist items:

* Some idea of what several of the settings do including dispose, blend, increment, and offset. Needs a help file.
* Support drag-and-drop
* Some sort of animation preview window
* Some idea of what the max compression level

The images need to be the same size/color depth and the max compression for png's is 9 or else you get that "External exception EEFFACE" error.

I know how ya feel about finding that perfect software. I've been trying too. The best thing I could find to make high quality animated png's w/ transparency is Paint.NET with this plugin http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/t ... agif-apng/

You could also maybe try this Firefox addon Animat. You can drag n' drop and has an animation preview.
