mRemoteNG

#1 Post by Midas »

A search returned zero hits, so I'm submitting mRemoteNG for forum appraisal. (https://mremoteng.org/)

mRemote has been mentioned a couple of times but not mRemoteNG.

If you do want this in the main database then my advice would be to check this meets the 'Portable' requirements and then add using the following form.

You're welcome. Sometimes search has thrown zero results for me too. Today I tried to search for GPL licenses, but it appears that search will only look at the application name and synopsis. (Or perhaps I wasn't using it correctly?!)

I have added mRemoteNG to the database. Please vote.

Compared to Terminals, which is already in the database, the more recent release of mRemoteNG is newer (2019 versus 2017). It supports SSH2, which Terminals does not. The UI is also less glitchy eg. buttons being cut off etc.

However, it is not perfect. I have experienced the program hanging on me once or twice during my brief experience with it. However, it works pretty well for the most part, so I will be using it until something better comes along.
