This game is just... hilarious. Been playing most days, with the name Matty. It definitely receives my recommendation.

I notice this game has now been added to the database, says it is not stealth. What registry keys does it use as I did not find any.

I notice this game has now been added to the database, says it is not stealth. What registry keys does it use as I did not find any.

Code: Select all

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DirectDraw\MostRecentApplication\Name: "bv2.exe"
I am actually of two minds about this.

On the one hand, this registry entry is created by Windows/DirectX, and all DirectX applications are subjected to this treatment, so it is rather unfair to pin this to the app in question.

On the other hand, stealth folks are going to argue that any registry changes, caused directly or indirectly by the app, should be counted, especially one that so blatantly identifies the app being run. Imagine if the EXE name is "strip_poker.exe"! :D

What do you guys think?

I don't mind it not being stealth, I was hoping it wasn't because I was thinking of writing a launcher for it. I just didn't find any entries when I RegShot'ed it... don't know why.

Please note that Left 4k Dead the game mentioned by Meian is a Java based application.

I do not know if Java is accepted, or will be soon but just, FYI Java required.

In a side note has anyone tried to get Java apps to work portably with the portable forms of Java? :?:

If you have, I think a thread for Java applications that pass/fail working with Portable Java, would be a nice idea.
