Thinstall is a basically a commercial product that can allow you to run applications portably like JauntePE but with Thinstall you basically can round it down to 1 exe file instead of have the rest of the files with the launcher

Does someone know what happened? It was a good place too.

Hahaha I'm replying to a verrrrrrry old post.
Don't worry that downtime (way back in 07) must've been temporary cause no-install is there and good to go.
btw teobromina didn't say the following:
no-install requires free registration (no spam no sell of info)
no-install has portable news too
no-install has (some) programs that TPFC doesn't (TPFC has a S-load of progs that no-install doesn't)
no-install has portable Operating systems.
Unlike our favorite Andrew, no-install RARELY adds progs (but I still have found cool stuff there)

EDITED TO MAKE TWO POSTS INTO ONE
silly, remove the misc and get more

:D
I didn't see it here, and it's address has changed since I used to go there, so I will also add

http://www.combobulate.com/node/13 (but I don't know if they've got anything Andrew does not)

FYI: Your last link doesn't seem very useful (except for advertising revenue) and keeps popping up with a login and password authentication message. Is this your blog?

Those Blogs are not mine and the popups are default for BlogSpot. There is no revenue for me involved. All of those links are ones I visit regularly.

Hey, Darkbee, thanks to spaztastic I have checked that no-install.com is still alive... I remember old times when we were a few of us speaking about portable apps...

Digging a little deeper, there does seem to be some old 2007 posts about portable software, but not much for 2008...the pop-up seems to be some embedded code telling whoever's responsible for updating the site that its link is no longer valid.

Sorry, guys, but if you post stuff up, people are gonna review it.
