1by1 audio player plugins

#1 Post by grannyGeek »

I posted this link in the 1by1 comments, and thought it might be useful to post it here ---
It took a bunch of searching to find the WinAmp plugins I needed for 1by1 to play some various formats, and most of them were NOT available anymore on the WinAmp site. I believe these also work with xmPlayer, although I've only tried a few with xmp.

I zipped them up, and here is the link --
the 400 kb zip contains plugins for Wav, AC3, APE, FLAC, VORBIS, and CD-reader. They have all been UPX'd.

EDIT:
adding the link for zip file with WMA and MP4 plugins. The WMA plugin requires the WmAudSdk plugin to work.

That's great. Thanks for this I'm sure they'll come in really handy for loads of us.

Thanks heaps for this.

Unfortunately I'm still missing a working WMA plugin.
My girlfriend has ripped all her CDs into WMA using media player

I tried all of the WM plugins from the winamp website.
(I also tried the in_wm.dll from an installed winamp without success).

I don't use WMA much, so that was one I hadn't hunted down. but now I did. (what can I say, I'm having a boring day!)

I'm not a WinAmp user, but Google sent me to their forum during the hunt, and strangely enough, WinAmp itself seems to be having problems with its own new in_wm.dll version, and some forum posts recommended to roll back to the dll from version 2.5, so that is what I did.
I also tripped over the dll for MP4, which might be handy.

here is link to 350kb zip file
I used upx but sdk file is already compressed.
:-(

Put both in_wm.dll and WmAudSdk.dll in your 1by1 folder, or in_wm won't work.
A small warning, 1by1 sometimes crashed if I double-clicked a wma filename to play instead of using the toolbar.

Here is link to a thread in WinAmp forum that lists a lot of old and discontinued plugins, but the thread itself is 7 years old and many of the links are dead. It was my starting point some months back when I was hunting down the plugins I needed.

It seems the file is no longer present.

@ J44xm
Do you mean the link is dead, or MediaFire said file doesn't exist, or what?

I'm not sure why you're having problems getting it, I just downloaded both files using these posted links.

Try again, and if you still can't get them, I will upload to another host.

My apologies. When I tried the download several times the other day, there were problems downloading it for some reason; but it, indeed, did work just now. Many thanks for the upload. I appreciate the upload and can't wait to try the files out later on.

Thanks grannyGeek.

I searched for an hour or so not managing to find a working wma plugin.

The plugin you located works perfectly.

Is that the default Winamp mp3 plug-in? There are others you could try, for example: http://otachan.com/

Well, in_mp3.dll plugin is one that is not actually recommended on the 1by1 site. Maybe you will have to just go with the developer's recommendation and use the mpglib dll instead, which will support mp3 and mp2 playback.
I already had the acm codec which includes mp3 support, so maybe that is why I haven't had any problems. Possibly 1by1 is ignoring my in_mp3 plugin and using the acm plugin instead.

you can get mpglib from here:

My, the 1by1 site has changed since I visited there last!

OOPsie !

found a little WMA glitch ---
I've tried 6 different plugin versions, and could not find any that will play lossless wma tracks.
I guess the lossless format is too new, and these old winamp plugins just can't handle them.

(the one I uploaded is still the only one I've found that will make 1by1 play standard wma files, all the rest are inoperative.)

If you are a wma fan, and use the lossless format, you will have to use another player, or convert the files if you want to play in 1by1.

yet more 1by1 audio plugins...

#14 Post by Onesimus Prime »

Hello all,

Well, I've got to admit that this post is partly inspired by redllar's recent departure. I've always kind of told myself, "I don't know how to do all this portable stuff and scripts and all, I'm working ~80 hours a week and don't have time to learn right now, etc." All that may be true, but I can still contribute what little I do have/know, so here's a "collection" of some WinAmp plugins I found that seem to work with 1by1:
http://www.mediafire.com/?d9cd2zg9ng1
(mirrored at)
http://localhostr.com/files/692b13/1by1 ... _again.zip

These contain, best of all, an "in_wm.dll" that, for me at least, supports lossless WMAs! I have a lot of audio programs installed though, so I can't be positive one of them isn't helping somehow. This .dll also doesn't require a separate SDK file. Also included are plugins for AIFF, MOD, NSV, VQF, and last but not least, MIDI files! I've gotta tell you that I haven't tested the MOD, NSV, or VQF ones as I don't have those kinds of files. But maybe somebody does, and will find these useful.

I UPX'd the VQF and WM ones, but forgot to do the others before I uploaded them. Umm...okay, here's another .zip with all UPX'd DLLs in the "root" of the zip, and the non-UPX'd originals in a folder:

Enjoy!

Oh, just a reminder... BonkEnc also can use WinAmp "in_" plugins for formats to convert from - though you're still limited to the same 5 or so formats to convert to. Still, it greatly expands that program's functionality, making it my favorite portable audio converter.

And many thanks for your FLAC plugin, grannyGeek - the one I originally found couldn't "seek," but yours works great for me!
