Advanced Onion Router - anonymous network connection tool

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

Advanced Onion Router database entry (http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=1958, currently v0.3.0.20) was pointing to an absent forum topic; I updated it to point to the present topic. (And BTW, the original suggestion came from user Vector, who is also absent from the member list.)

@webfork: please remove version info from subject of first post. Thanks. :)

Advanced Onion Router 0.3.1.1 released at April 27, 2017:
- web site: http://te-home.net/?do=work&id=advor
- list of changes: http://te-home.net/?id=106&title=AdvOR+0.3.1.1
- download build 0.3.1.1: http://te-home.net/?do=work&id=advor&file=153
- download sources of build 0.3.1.1.1: http://te-home.net/?do=work&id=advor&file=152
- mirror on Sourceforge: https://sourceforge.net/projects/advtor/?source=navbar

Please note that:
1. the main developer site is at 'Team Elite' http://te-home.net/
2. about 'Team Elite' http://te-home.net/?do=about
3. Tor, and consequently Advanced Onion Router, uses the port 9050 and SOCKS5
4. probably a new version of AdvOR will come soon because Tor has been updated to ver 0.3.0.6 https://blog.torproject.org/blog/tor-03 ... ies-stable, but the binaries are not yet availables.

Is there any way to exclude certain sites? I want to activate it only for Twitter and Facebook, but disable it for Portable Freeware.

That's a really good question -- as the Tor network is generally slower than my normal connection, I definitely want to connect to a short list of websites using my standard connection and everything I'm not sure about with Tor.

Unfortunately I don't know of a way to do this with AOR -- I think the primary goal of this program was to take programs that don't know how to work anonymously and push them into the Tor network. I don't think there's a way to whitelist certain sites (there didn't seem to be anything about that on their discussion site: https://sourceforge.net/p/advtor/discus ... =whitelist).

You might however be able to do something with domain-specific proxies like AutoProxy: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... autoproxy/ https://superuser.com/questions/433635/ ... ins#433639

Here's a quick look at how to use Tor with proxies: https://www.techwalla.com/articles/how-to-use-tor-proxy
