MediaMonkey Portable

The latest version of MediaMonkey (ver. 4.0.0.1459) offers the option of a portable installation. The installer needs to be run with admin privileges. In the window where the installation path has to be chosen, there is a checkbox for the portable installation option. It works fine, but I haven't tested yet how close it is to stealthiness.

I carried out a portable installation on a virtual xp machine and regshot it.
Alongside the usual ShellNoRoam stuff I found:
HKU\S-1-5-21-842925246-854245398-1060284298-1004\Software\MediaMonkey
HKU\S-1-5-21-842925246-854245398-1060284298-1004\Software\Winamp
a MediaMonkey\skins folder in User\ApplicationData

So it is definitely not stealth, maybe it'll more if you disable skinning during setup.

Yes, many registry entries ...
Most of the settings are saved in "Portable" subfolder, but ... too many registry entries left behind for me ...

Topic update: MediaMonkey v4.1.18.1853 released (changelog at http://www.mediamonkey.com/information/changelog/).

FYI, a PAF launcher has been in development for years now, with mostly positive feedback -- "MediaMonkey Portable 4.1.17.1840 Development Test 1" latest version is available at https://portableapps.com/node/16968.

MediaMonkey is now in Android, too:

Sadly, in my latest tests, MediaMonkey native portable setup still leaves lots of traces in the registry...
