BOOTICE (storage management utility)

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

BOOTICE current version is v1.3.2.1 (see http://bbs.ipauly.com/viewtopic.php?t=2; the mirror at http://bootice.narod.ru/ is still at v1.0.6).

Topic update: BOOTICE homepage and official mirrors seem to be missing ATM, so gbrao's mirror is currently the only reliable source for the latest v1.3.3.2 (both 32 and 64-bit versions included in download package, no changelog)...

BTW, here are the included MD5 hashes in text format:

Code: Select all

hi
v1.3.3.2 is out , i can not find the change log
BOOTICE v1.2.0 onwards is natively portable (it does not use the registry)

but seeing it's portable i don't know why it's not in the list

but i can't understand why under
https://sites.google.com/site/gbrtools/ ... /downloads -> there is only v1.1.5 & v1.2Plus

the same site BOOTICE Downloads there is the new version v1.3.3.2

Apparently, BOOTICE official site has moved to http://www.ipauly.com/ (Chinese only!) -- downloads are available from there.

BTW, here's a view of its partition management dialog:

Haven't checked lately, but it was both portable and stealth not long ago. And you can always use Google Translate to eradicate any version doubts. ;)

I can confirm that it was stealth the last I checked. And yes, BOOTICE could be entered into TPFC's database -- given enough general interest and someone taking the trouble to actually do it... :?

Sure thing. Memory isn't what it used to be but I have a faint recollection it was v1.3.2.1... :P

And thank you for that. I voted and updated both the screenshot (it's animated now) and the release date. I'm unsure about the later; may I ask what you source for 2015-11-15 is?

On the developer's page here:

Nice screenshot. Better than the one I submitted.

I see. I used the date shown on BOOTICE's own "About" dialog, which I believe is more credible, but feel free to change it back.

Glad you liked my screenshot. FTR, I managed to reduce the original uncompressed file created with APNG Anime Maker from 310.112 to only 73.124 Bytes with PNGOptimizer. :)
