CudaText (multi-platform text editor)

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

I consider CudaText as app, which is better than SynWrite. And it should be on site, like SynWRite.

(I'm the author)
I want to say that it's good that you have CHS users sometimes.
I have one CHS user at forum. he always writes text with mistakes.
But. He tells useful things. Ie useful bug reports. And issues.

He told issues in CudaText
- with slow text search--- and I reworked search (from zero almost), and now it's new and fast like in N++
- with slow scrolling of BIG SQL logs--- and I changed SQL lexer, and then I disabled normal SQL lexxer and added new LITE SQL lexer, which is 30x times faster. Now SQL logs scroll fast.

So it's good that such user exists on forum and tells issues.

CudaText can look for new updates. :wink:
In version 1.9.3 (June 3, 2017) has been added a new item in the Help menu.
-> see on file History.txt https://github.com/Alexey-T/CudaText/bl ... istory.txt
(choose Raw, Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V in Notepad++)
menuitem "Help - Check for updates", it calls Addon Manager
... but this feature tell You only if exist a new update, then You must download it and unzip in Your CudaText folder.

CudaText is developed in Lazarus (open source Pascal/Delphi compiler), so is very stable.

The Wiki is on Lazarus site https://wiki.freepascal.org/CudaText.
Very interesting is the topic Advantages over Sublime Text 3 https://wiki.freepascal.org/CudaText#Ad ... ime_Text_3

CudaText and its plugins support i18n https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internati ... calization (text strings can be translated).
