WinCryptHashers is a small plugin for the popular 7-Zip archiver. The plugin enables 7-Zip to display the hash values produced by additional hashing algorithms like MD5. WinCryptHashers also enables 7-Zip to generate text files with checksums.
The plugin can add support for the following hashing algorithms:
eDecoder is a plugin for the popular archiver 7-Zip. It enables 7-Zip to handle many different types of mailboxes (files that contain email messages) like archives. It also enables 7-Zip to handle email message files like archives. Thanks to eDecoder, you can easily extract an email message or only an email attachment from a mail base without using the email client that created that mail base. Moreover, eDecoder enables 7-Zip to open so-called web archive files (MIME HTML files, which usually have the extension MHT or MHTML), as well as to open or create UUE and XXE encoded files.
List of formats that can be opened in 7-Zip with eDecoder:
- MGS - used by Microsoft Office Outlook
- TNEF - used by Microsoft Office Outlook (winmail.dat or ATT0001.dat files)
- DBX - used by Outlook Express 5 and 6
- MBX - used by Outlook Express 4
- MBOX - used by the following applications:
- Mozilla Thunderbird
- Apple Mail
- Opera Mail
- and by many other email clients
- TBB - used by The Bat!
- PMM - used by Pegasus Mail
- EMLX - used by Apple Mail
- EML, NWS, MHT, MHTML, B64
- UUE, XXE
- NTX - YEnc files
- BIN - MacBinary files
- HQX - BinHex files
- WARC - Web ARChive files
The eDecoder plugin also contains eSplitter. It's a special codec that helps 7-Zip pack text files containing binary data encoded using base64 and some other binary-to-text encoding schemes (for example, web pages saved in the MHTML format, email messages in the EML format, mail bases in the MBOX and TBB formats, illustrated e-books in the FB2 format, and many more) into 7z files more efficiently.
Lzip7z is a small plugin for the popular 7-Zip archiver. You can use Lzip7z to open, modify, or create .lz archives that are widely used on Unix-like systems.
Asar7z is a small plugin for the popular 7-Zip archiver. You can use Asar7z with 7-Zip to open, modify, or create .asar archives, which are used for packaging applications based on the Electron framework.
Thumbs7z is a small plugin for the popular 7-Zip archiver. 7-Zip with Thumbs7z can open Windows thumbnail cache files and extract individual thumbnails from them.

Iso7z is a small plugin for the popular 7-Zip archiver. 7-Zip with Iso7z can quickly extract files from a disc image without mounting it. It supports disc images created in different applications.
Each track will be represented as a file whose type depends on the track type. An audio track will be represented as a WAV file, which you can play in any audio player. A track containing ISO9660 file system data will be represented as an ISO file. Iso7z also supports multi-session disc images; each session’s track will be represented as an ISO file. If an ISO9660 file system cannot be represented as an ISO file (for example, if a CD-ROM XA disc image contains files recorded in the Mode2/Form2 format), the track will be represented as a folder containing correctly decoded Mode2/Form2 files.
List of formats that can be opened in 7-Zip with Iso7z:
- CCD/IMG - disc images created with CloneCD
- CDI - disc images created with DiscJuggler
- CHD (v4) - images used by MAME
- ECM - disc images compressed with ECM Tool
- GDI - Dreamcast Gigabyte disc images
- ISZ - disc images created with UltraISO
- MDS/MDF - disc images created with Alcohol 120%
- NRG - disc images created with Nero Burning ROM
- Zisofs compressed files
The plugin also contains a special codec RawSplitter that enables 7-Zip to efficiently pack uncompressed raw disc images (CCD/IMG, CDI, CUE/BIN, GDI, MDS/MDF, or NRG) into 7z archives. Moreover, RawSplitter can slightly improve the compression of DAT files from Video CD discs (such files are usually named AVSEQxx.DAT and have the RIFF and CDXA signatures at the beginning of the file).
Modern7z is a plugin for the popular 7-Zip archiver. It adds support for the following leading-edge compression methods:
Each of these compression methods can only pack a single file. Multiple files are usually pre-packed into a container like TAR, and then it is compressed with the method. You can also use any of these compression methods as a codec when packing files into a .7z
WavPack7z is a plugin for the popular 7-Zip archiver. It allows you to pack uncompressed PCM audio data using the highly efficient WavPack
Take a look at the screenshot below to see how efficiently WavPack7z can compress audio data:
WavPack7z can automatically detect and pack files of the following types:
- .wav (including bwf/rf64 and Multiple Data Chunks (Legacy Audition Format) formats)
- .caf (Core Audio Format)
- .w64 (Sony Wave64)
- .dff (Philips DSDIFF)
- .dsf (Sony DSD stream)
- .aif, .afc (Аudio Interchange File Format, including AIFF-C format)
WavPack7z can also pack files containing raw audio data.
The following audio data parameters are allowed:
- The number of channels: 1-256
- Bits per sample: 1-32
- Data type: integer or float (signed or unsigned)
WavPack7z also allows you to unpack files from Zip archives packed with WavPack method.
Smart7z is a plugin for the popular archiver 7-Zip. Smart7z provides flexible settings when packing files into a .7z
archive. For example, you can use different compression methods for different files: LZMA for .jpg
files, PPMD for text files and LZMA2 for any other files. This way, you can significantly improve the overall compression ratio.
