Icon Explorer

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

Looks awesome. Mitec programs keep slipping into my view. I was going to post about Infobar this week but my test setup isn't great.

On my wishlist (in addition to portability) is the capability to index all icons on a system, but maybe that's too much to ask for a freeware program.

EDIT: The icon extract tool (something I do a lot) is really sharp:

All set (long overdue).

I also updated the entry screenshot as the program looks much sharper with the new version that just went up (thanks billon).

I have now tested MiTeC_Icon_Explorer_5.0.1, and can confirm that
Icon_Explorer_5.0.1 did not write to registry, only OS did.

In past, MiTeC Icon Explorer 4.2.0 wrote to registry.

MiTeC Icon Explorer 5.0.3

Not sure about change log. (MicroAngelo 16-bit format (icl) and 16-bit executables (NE) is no longer supported and Icon Explorer now creates 32-bit DLLs as icon libraries.
32-bit icons and 256x256 sized icons are supported. ?)

I have to point out that if "persistent layout" in preferences are set, then
Icon Explorer writes to Registry.

Have to mention that MiTec also make Network Scanner (atm v4.4.0) which
makes a Netscanner.ini file in Your profile under AppData\Roaming\MiTeC\Network Scanner,
if one set the equal setting in preferences.
