Im sure somewhere on the site is a portable application that will remove drivers that are installed when you first plug in a usb device. It also shows all the devices that have been used on the pc. Can someone please remind me what it is, because ive searched about everything I can think of to find it?
Thanks

I knew of the first two but not of Ghostbuster -- which BTW is a DotNET application. Nice find!

Re: remove usb "stuff"
Great topic, as usual here.
This script remove Non-present Devices using DevCon. It removes not only the USB ones: every driver that isn't necessary anymore. I've used many times, works perfectly:
https://github.com/kevinoid/remove-nonpresent-devices
I'm still looking for an app that does this or a similar task on offline systems, if this could be possible.
GhostBuster has a portable build also. Great find!
Edit: after some tests, GhostBuster does a more complete job, but it requires some interaction. The script above does what is safe with minimum interaction.

The 'portable' Ghostbuster is saving (minor) settings at %APPDATA%\Ghostbuster\Ghostbuster.inidavid.lynch wrote:GhostBuster has a portable build also. Great find!

Re: Ghostbuster
Ghostbuster is currently release 106145 (i.e, v1.0.0.4; changelog and download at http://ghostbuster.codeplex.com/releases/view/116811).
The changelog for release 106143 states: "Added a Portable Executable for Windows XP merged against .Net 4 Full Framework"; IMHO, this seems to imply that the required DotNET framework version is now v4 -- anyone confirms?
