Hi Yall
is there a portable upload/download calculator so I can check how long it takes to upload or download a file at a certain speed? Been using ones online but would be nice to have an app that could do this?

Re: Portable upload download calculator?
This was tricky to find on google with the results mostly web based calculators. There's actually one such utility already submitted to the database here http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1917
Write's input history in registry though

The database entry states that Transfer Time Calculator doesn't write any settings, which is obviously wrong according to Userfriendly's findings.
Being such an unique app, I think it deserves to be upvoted out of it's private status -- public exposure may make it gain stealth powers...

It was already documented 2 years ago >> http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/ ... 697#p25697Midas wrote:The database entry states that Transfer Time Calculator doesn't write any settings, which is obviously wrong according to Userfriendly's findings.

Another one called Data Transfer Calculator http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/ ... f=4&t=6639
It doesn't write any settings but the UI seems a bit buggy after trying to use it.

Thanks for reminding that, guinness. On a related note, I have declared repeatedly that I'm no stealth purist -- I tend to follow the function over form school of thought; but maybe these two threads should be merged to avoid dispersion?guinness wrote:It was already documented 2 years ago >> http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/ ... 697#p25697
Anyway, maybe rodger123 would want to call on your previous offer...
