I thought CCleaner failed to detect and tidy un-installed (ie portable) browsers etc
that it would otherwise process?
VBScript
Re: VBScript
You can manually add these to winapp2 and I wouldn't point the blame at CCleaner because it has no way of knowing where the Portable applications are unless you tell it.NickR wrote:I thought CCleaner failed to detect and tidy un-installed (ie portable) browsers etc

Re: VBScript
Hi guinness,
'point the blame'? - Er , I love CCleaner, its brilliant
and I use my own variations winapp2 all the time.
Where you said 'I can't think of anything else ...to be added'
I was simply suggesting an area of CCleaner where you could exercise your VBscript skills.
It would be a challenge for CCleaner to locate and tidy apps which are squirreled away
in non-standard places and pen-drives
I'm sorry if you misunderstood my meaning.

Re: VBScript
Oh OK, I misunderstood, my sincere apologises. It's good idea but ideally I would prefer CCleaner to manage the deletion of files rather than Windows, so editing the winapp2.ini would be an option but this is loaded when CCleaner is run, so I have no idea how to accomplish this.
Re: VBScript
Any additional VBScripts I create will be posted here from no w on, unless I feel it could be a benefit to TPFC community.
Re: VBScript
Added WindowsOS.vbs & IsAdmin.vbs
WindowsOS.vbs might be of interest to those who help family members over the Internet/phone but lack certain knowledge about their system. For example the average user has no idea if they have a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system or what version of Windows they're using.
If anyone wishes to suggest more fields to add then please let me know.

Re: VBScript
Added Launcher x32/x64.vbs
This is ideal for those who use 64-bit applications but require the option to start a 32-bit application when moving their USB drive around.
