I made a couple of tweaks to the language file as reported by spicydog. Instead of uploading a new version I decided to just report the small changes here.
ADDITIONAL=Preferences
LANGUAGE=GUI language
TIP_2=%PROEJECTDRIVE% is the system drive so it can't be ejected.
TIP_3=%PROEJECTDRIVE% is not a valid drive so it can't be ejected.
TIP_4=%PROEJECTDRIVE% is not a removable drive so it can't be ejected.
TIP_CLEAN_3=Delete from registry
TIP_CLEAN_4=Write to registry
TIP_GUI_4=%PROGRAMNAME% is an easy to use application which allows to dismount safely a removable drive by closing running applications and open windows. @NL @NL The application has been created by %COPYRIGHT%.
TIP_SETTINGS_1=Clean registry and folders.
TIP_SETTINGS_11=Display GUI buttons.
TIP_SETTINGS_13=Display the tray icon when in %PROGRAMNAME% mode.
TIP_SETTINGS_7=Clean the Temp folder.

So I have some great news to tell you all about Monday's release of ProEject, thanks to spicydog & SYSTEM, ProEject is now available in the following languages. Of course other languages are very much welcome. :)

Dutch, English, Finnish, Italian & Spanish

Honestly this is more than I could've hoped for, especially since I've only been developing the application for 4 weeks & in my free time too. Thanks everyone. Those who have helped will get a mention in the Readme file.

For those of you that think Beta Release 8 is going to be the Stable release, don't despair there's going to be some surprising changes in store for ProEject V1.0.0.0. :D

I didn't see my e-mail until you said about it, so don't think for one second I was being rude otherwise I would've e-mailed you.

Thank you ever so much SYSTEM, I was planning on adding it this evening as I was a little busy today, but seems you beat me to it.

I've no idea how, but it seems ProEject is on Softpedia >> http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Har ... ject.shtml & http://just-download.com/system/file-di ... .zip/44e6a. It's an unexpected surprise since I've only added this to TPFC, unless someone added it from TPFC :D

Right now I haven't been working on ProEject that much as its only been 3 days, but this is what I've added for the next release which should be coming in the next couple of weeks.

Changelog:

Code: Select all

- ADDED: Refresh item to the tray menu. (Suggested by a user who contact me personally)
- ADDED: Auto detect system language and use available language file if present.

The verdict: a great program; I love that it can work with other programs and utilize them as plugins. It does feel like beta software; it needs a few quirks ironed out and better documentation. However, it is an exciting tool and I am looking to future versions with anticipation.
Great stuff, guinness. Congrats.

Wow, thanks for that.
Doesn’t seem to integrate with Unlocker: to automatically find and remove locking handles, despite the claim in the readme that it does (I tried many times, including setting both to run as administrator, etc)
Weird, I'll be fixing that issue in due course.
Insists on minimizing to the system tray: i.e. it doesn’t always re-appear when you double click the ProEjecticon pinned in the taskbar or the desktop (even when you uncheck ‘display tray icon when in ProEject mode). This might seem nitpicky, but I would like to avoid hunting in the system tray whenever I need to eject a USB drive. Also, once a drive is ejected, the ProEject dialog can sometimes not refresh, even when the user attempts to do so manually.
This I can add as a new feature for not minimizing to the tray & I've fixed the issue with not always showing upon double-clicking of the trayicon. Also the issue reported has been fixed in the next version.
Tends to trigger security software: partially because of what it does. I expect to get lots of comments/emails from freaked readers, but this software has an extremely good VirusTotal profile (see here; only 4/43 flag as positive, which is a very good result).
This is down to the Settings.exe created by spicydog >> http://www.virustotal.com/file-scan/rep ... 1312532227, as the ProEject executable is clean >> http://www.virustotal.com/file-scan/rep ... 1312532024 plus the source code is available. ;)

Even though we all know Settings.exe was being flagged as a false positive, I've removed it for the time being because I was getting alot of emails about the issue & this is my first "major" application I've uploaded so I want to retain a good reputation. :mrgreen:

The documentation is work in progress, due to the fact I'm a coder first & writer second ;)

Has anyone experienced the same problem as the second comment on http://www.freewaregenius.com/2011/08/0 ... ent-265826? For those who have checked the source you can see the error checking I have implemented, so I'm somewhat confused as to how this could've happened, I think the user profile is on a different drive to where the System32 folder is located, but this is a guess.
