LookDisk - file and duplicate search

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

LookDisk - file and duplicate search

#1 Post by Crash »

[Mod note: LookDisk TPFC database entry is at https://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=1053]

I searched the forums and the database but found no reference to this app. Would one of the gurus in the forum please test it for portability? If so, consider it for submission. The duplicate file finding functions of this program are rather nice.

LookDisk (v. 2.95)

edit: Corrected my crappy grammar.

I forgot to monitor the first installation  , but after uninstalling\reinstalling AND monitoring, this program seems to be portable (unless uninstalling did not remove all files). It stores its settings in "LDW_V291.CFG" in the program folder.

Anyway, nice find. :)

Thanks. Apparently the "powers that be" don't feel it's a worthy enough suggestion to even respond with an acceptance or denial for it's submission however.

Actually, from reading other threads in the forums, I understand that "the powers that be" have many more submissions than they can get to at the moment.

Posted to the database, thanks. Crash: please read the section of the FAQ titled "In what order do you process freeware submissions?" if you want your suggestions to get moved to the "top of the list." In all reality, usdcs is right: we don't have all the time in the world to devote to TPFC and there are plenty of submissions to process in addition to software we find and test out on our own.

I'm sure that requests attached to a crisp fifty dollar bill, or its equivalent in your local currency, might also receive a little more attention, too... :D
