Just spent some time looking at MojoPac http://www.mojopac.com/

Very interesting indeed and it does work if you run Windows XP.

I would like to also use it from my HDD but unfortunatley, it only runs from portable USB drives! I also don't know why they require you to register online.

Not sure if it's a keeper for me but I wanted to bring it up to the attention of the folks on this forum.

If you have thoughs or negative experience with MojoPac, please share. Thanks.

I registered and downloaded the application but it didn't even install in the end

1. A device serial number is needed ( for security reasons they claim )
So, what they're saying :

pick ANY Device
MojoPac can turn any portable storage device, including your iPod, or your USB flash or hard drives, into your Personal Computer - your MojoPac PC.

... is plain false and misleading.
2. You need Admin rights on the PC to be able to use it, useless if you ask me

OK, they are working on a new version (v1.1) to fix the issue with the serial number.

A new version is expected to be released on October 12th, this should fix the serial number issue.

What is the "serial number issue"? If they program wants a serial number its because they have programmed it that way. Thats a design choice.

The program was checking the serial number of the portable storage device, it's not the usually known "serial number".
The new version is out, they are claiming it should work on most USB2 compliant thumbdrives, I can't install it on my Transcend JetFlash though ( it's USB2 compatible of course

)
