OperaTor 2.3

#2 Post by Simon.T »

I'm not using it, just saw it on page 18 on THE Most Popular apps of the site, isn't it pretty odd??

I mean so popular and till now no one reported here for an update, no update mentioned even in the comments of OperaTor, even users passing by and not registered in the forum can comment there!! just like I did here

I geuss that this means that only Blonds are using it?! we got PortableTor

OperaTOR is now YAPO (Yet Another Portable Opera)!

#7 Post by GeddichNixan »

It means in particular that YAPO doesn't include TOR and thus isn't a tool for anonymous surfing any longer. According to a statement on the author's homepage OperaTOR won't be maintained.
http://archetwist.com/en/opera/operator

The author of OperaTOR recommends the usage of the Firefox-Tor-Vidalia bundles available on the net instead.

Thanks for the development of OperaTOR. Alhtough I did not use it, it seemed to be the best browser-tor package available (anyhow for Opera fans like me ;-) )

The distinctive feature of OperaTOR was that it included TOR. Now it is stripped of that feature and is truly not more (not less either) than yet another portable Opera. Or is there anything it makes YAPO better than all the other portable Operas? Any ideas?

Should the description be changed? Or point to the archived site? I wonder why the developer stopped.
