Multi-boot cd during computer startup?

#1 Post by msnuser193 »

How do we set a menu for accessing different apps on the same cd? and is bootable at system startup (not os startup)?

Do I understand correctly, are you asking about a multi-boot CD?
(this enables you to boot your PC using an OS stored on the CD instead of the HDD)

To create a multi-boot cd, check out Bart's way (http://www.nu2.nu/bootcd/#multimemdisk).
For repair/recovery I recommend (http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/).

For other live boot cd distributions, check out (http://www.livecdlist.com/).

Or for a bootable windows environment, try the following ...
* (http://www.ubcd4win.com/)
* (http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/)

Or Shardana Antivirus Rescue Disk Utility (SARDU), I haven't tested the stealth element of this application, but it is Portable!

And out of the list provided at http://www.livecdlist.com/I would recommend SystemRescueCD & BackTrack 4.

That's partly what I meant.

Also, I noticed that Windows XP Setup boots when computer starts. How can we create a boot menu for choicing multiple setups (Vista, or XP ) etc.?
