That's because these apps do not have enough votes to be on the main site.
To make these apps "official", you have to vote them up.
is it stealth? ;)

Use "[@]" operator (no quotes) to search and display all the apps (even the ones you mentioned, that are not yet included into the database and that are subject to voting).

Hmm, I've checked out the "@" option to get a list of the latest public and private submissions. However, it doesn't seem to list them all. For example, from yesterdays submissions (12/14) I've listed in my post above, some are still missing:

http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1579
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1578
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1575
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1574
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1568

And from today, I don't see:
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1582
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1586
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1585
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1584

Also, when using "@" I'm getting the following message 5 times at the top of the page (Opera 10 browser):
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /home/andrew/portablefreeware.com/index.php on line 367: join() [function.join]: Invalid arguments passed
Any explanations for this?

you have to put brackets around it like so--> [@]
They all seem to be there :)
