Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.
Already mentioned in this topic, i'm putting here cause it's portable
Sandboxie is a sandbox-based isolation software for 32- and 64-bit Windows NT-based operating systems. It is being developed by David Xanatos since it became open source, before that it was developed by Sophos (which acquired it from Invincea, which acquired it earlier from the original author Ronen Tzur). It creates a sandbox-like isolated operating environment in which applications can be run or installed without permanently modifying the local or mapped drive. An isolated virtual environment allows controlled testing of untrusted programs and web surfing.
Since the Open Sourcing sandboxie is being released in two flavors the classical build with a MFC based UI and as plus build that incorporates new features and an entirely new Q’t based UI. All newly added features target the plus branch but often can be utilized in the classical edition by manually editing the sandboxie.ini file.
I had removed sandboxie but just now started using v1.14.10 I just used the defaults.
In my recollection downloaded files were only visible from within the sandbox and you had to open a sandboxed file manager to access these OR recover the files so you can access them under your normal user account. So files weren't visible from non-sandboxed applications. To my surprise I can see and access download files directly from outside the sandbox e.g. my regular user account can see the downloaded application/file.
When closing sandboxie the files remain visible for the user account (which I find really surprising)
Is this new behaviour or a setting that has changed and can be set back so files are only accessible in the sandbox unless you recover them?
I could always access sandbox files with "outside" apps, e.g. using Total Commander. This was always the default behavior in my case (old and new Sandboxie).
I have a vivid memory needing to launch a sandboxed file manager to be able to run an installer and not seeing the files from outside the sandbox (so I didn't see the installed app either). Very strange.

YES! Finally
Then finally here's its entry, please vote for it!
Also, because it has an unusual model I've created 1 entry for the 2 variants (Plus and Classic), I hope it's okay! Moreover, the modern variant is technically a shareware, but it really does grant every essential feature unlimited for free, so I hope it's okay too!

Just noting no need for special exemption anymore in that regard. Someone rightfully commented the portable version exists only in the Plus variant (it's indeed confirmed in the Plus exclusive features mentioned over GitHub). So I've turned the entry all about Plus, with Classic just mentioned as notes.
