Bioruebe's UniExtract2 Github fork official page has an open thread (#152) devoted to "Outdated extractors":


In 2023-09-07, Tormento posted the following comment, which also serves as caveat (and which never got an answer):
I've tried to update basic utilities such as 7-zip and so but UniExtract keeps on "updating" to lower versions. Could you implement a version check and not a blind update?
I'm starting to suspect this version may be abandoned, too... :(

Exeinfo PE rel. 0.0.8.4 released at June 9, 2024.
Exeinfo PE is a: Exe detector / Data detector / Exe Tools (Detect packer / protector / compiler / .NET obfuscator).

Extract from archive these files:
- exeinfope.exe
- exeinfopeRUN.cfg
- Ext_Detector.dll
- userdb.txt
and put these files in 'UniExtract\bin' and replace existing files.

Does anyone maintain a github repo with a current/ongoing fully updated version of UniExtract? The last download I see was released in 2020.

The author silent works on Universal Extractor 2.0.0 RC4 and it makes available a Nightly build: this build come with name 'nightly.zip' and it is updated to 2024-07-06 (KB 61.300).
