Re: TablePro (CSV database manager)

TablePro is an old favorite, and SoftConstructors is smart to revive it -- still payware by them, but instead of the former $39, you can now pay whatever you like (via Paypal) to register. The latest TablePro (v3.70) is Unicode capable (although it isn't mentioned in SoftConstructors' TablePro development history page, it's available for download from softconstructors.com/en/applications/tablepro3/download.html).

Portable seetings seem to be kept in a 'TableProPortable.xml' alongside the program. The only snag is v3.70 portable executable is either unavailable or still displaying v3.54 in Windows Explorer and its 'About' dialog...

The primary use of this program is for storage of telephone directories, tables of employees and clients, edit files, cataloguing of DVD videos, CD music, and book collections, price lists, LOG-files, files of statistics, etc.

SofConstructors TablePro is currently v4.10 (changelog at softconstructors.com/en/applications/tablepro3/versionhistory.html).

Contrary to what I reported above, TablePro now creates two XML files for its settings -- inside program folder for portable, or in '%[LOCAL]APPDATA%\TablePro' for install: 'TablePro.recentfiles' and 'TablePro.settings'...

Old thread update:

Lots of programs mentioned in this thread whose links have died. Here's an update for those that like simple, lightweight table editors.

Topic Update: As I noted above, TablePro last version is v4.10 (homesite is dead and thus so is changelog).

Due to the design of SoftConstructors webpage, Archive.org snapshots appear to be irreversibly mangled but vevy and wzm managed to post links (see above) for their last TablePro release (v4.10 as mentioned) from there.

The original shareware TablePro v3.28 by ZGSPro from c. 2010 is also available from the same source:
